Parents all over the world must know this question: “Mooooom!? Can I play on the tablet now?!”. This is not only an issue parents have to deal with in this day and age, but it has been an issue since the early days of interactive entertainment.

In the early nineties, the problem was the Nintendo Gameboy for most kids, while this grew through to all other kinds of mobile platforms in the early 2000s. With the release of the App Store, video games became a lot cheaper, and in some cases even free to play, making the control that parents have over what the children play a lot less.

One of the biggest challenges in the current market, for developers as well as parents and teachers, is to find a middle ground between fun and education, as well as finding a cost-effective way to educate your children.

MonkeyLearning fits in perfectly with the wishes of both the children and the parents, with a simple freemium model where kids can play and learn at the same time, and parents don’t have to worry about the content that the kids get to see. No more worries about mind-numbing video games that are overcrowding the Apple Store in 2023, but an effective, educational game with full parental control as well as a fun learning environment for the children.

Not only does the game push mathematics to your child, it will also have a lot of other media, such as YouTube videos, carefully created for use in the game showing different places in Bangkok. Educational content will be added constantly to support users of the game as well as drag more players into the game.

This fantastic educational project: the simple fact that children will not only learn about mathematics but also about exploring the place around them. New cities and exercises, already under development, will be added soon so that your child can evolve and get to know other must-see places in Asia.

The second version of the game has been launched on Ipad and will feature four of the most popular areas of Bangkok (Lumpini Park, Chaophraya River, Siam Paragon Shopping Mall, and The Grand Palace). This second version is a learning case to see where the game can improve and how users react to the different mechanics of this educational game, both children and parents.
